On board a tanker vessel; electrical, electronics and refrigeration equipment are under the responsibility of Electrical Officer (EO), the reliability of the equipments as well as the safety of its operation must be maintained all the time.
In order for Electrical Officer (EO) to be effective on board, he must possess knowledge in basic physics, such as:
• The effect of temperature and pressure on solid, liquid and gas.
• Principle of electricity and magnetism.
• Hydraulics and Pneumatics.
